How to create your wedding profile

Creating your wedding profile is the first step to planning your perfect wedding with WedPlanner. Here's how to get started:

Sign Up or Log In: If you're new to WedPlanner, click 'Sign Up' and create your account using your email address. If you already have an account, simply log in.

Access My Wedding: Once logged in, navigate to 'My Wedding' from the dashboard sidebar. This is where you'll set up your wedding profile.

Enter Wedding Details: Fill in your wedding information including:

  • Wedding date and time
  • Venue location
  • Number of expected guests
  • Wedding style and theme preferences
  • Any special Filipino traditions you want to include

Add Partner Information: If you have your partner's email, you can invite them to collaborate on the planning. This feature is available in Premium plans.

Save Your Profile: Once you've entered all the details, click 'Save' to create your wedding profile.

Your wedding profile serves as the foundation for all your planning activities. You can always come back and update these details as your plans evolve.

Setting up your My Wedding page

The 'My Wedding' page is your central hub for all wedding information. Here's how to set it up:

Navigate to My Wedding: Click on 'My Wedding' in the dashboard sidebar (indicated by a heart icon).

Wedding Information Section:

  • Basic Details: Enter your wedding date, ceremony and reception times
  • Venue Information: Add your ceremony and reception venues with addresses
  • Guest Count: Set your expected number of guests

Wedding Style:

  • Choose your wedding style (Traditional, Modern, Intimate, etc.)
  • Select color schemes and themes
  • Add any special notes about your vision

Filipino Traditions:

  • Indicate which traditional ceremonies you'll include (Cord & Veil, Coins, etc.)
  • Add notes about cultural elements important to your celebration

Partner Details:

  • Add your partner's name and information
  • If on Premium plan, send them an invitation to collaborate

Save and Review: Regularly review and update your My Wedding page as details are confirmed. This information will be used throughout the platform for planning tasks.

Understanding the dashboard overview

The dashboard is your command center for wedding planning. Here's what you'll find:

Main Sections

Overview Dashboard

  • Quick Stats: See at a glance your checklist progress, budget status, guest count, and upcoming tasks
  • Recent Activity: View your latest planning activities and updates
  • Upcoming Deadlines: Important dates and tasks that need attention
  • Quick Actions: Fast access to common tasks like adding guests, creating checklist items, or booking vendors

Planning Section

  • Mood Board: Visualize your wedding style (Premium feature)
  • Timeline: Plan your wedding timeline and important dates (Standard & Premium)
  • Checklist: Manage all your wedding planning tasks

Management Section

  • Budget: Track expenses and payments
  • Guests: Manage your guest list and RSVPs
  • Seating: Plan your seating arrangements (Standard & Premium)

Vendors Section

  • Browse Vendors: Find and explore wedding vendors
  • My Bookings: Manage all your vendor bookings

Media Section

  • Files: Store and organize wedding documents and files
  • Messages: Communicate with vendors and collaborators
  • Quick Notes: Jot down ideas and reminders (Standard & Premium)

Navigation Tips

  • Use the sidebar menu to quickly navigate between sections
  • The dashboard overview provides a summary - click on any widget to dive deeper
  • Your progress is tracked automatically across all features
  • Use the search function (if available) to quickly find specific items

Note: Some features may be limited based on your subscription plan. Free plan users have access to basic features, while Standard and Premium plans unlock additional tools.

Setting up your account

Setting up your WedPlanner account is quick and easy. Follow these steps:

Account Creation

Step 1: Sign Up

Go to the WedPlanner homepage

Click 'Sign Up' or 'Get Started'

Enter your email address and create a strong password

Accept the terms of service and privacy policy

Click 'Create Account'

Step 2: Email Verification

Check your email inbox for a verification email

Click the verification link in the email

If you don't see the email, check your spam folder

Once verified, you'll be redirected to the platform

Account Setup

Profile Information

Personal Details:

  • Add your name and contact information
  • Upload a profile picture (optional)
  • Set your timezone (important for timeline features)

Notification Preferences:

  • Choose how you want to receive notifications (email, in-app, or both)
  • Set preferences for reminders and updates

Privacy Settings:

  • Review and adjust privacy settings
  • Control who can see your wedding information

Subscription Selection

Choose Your Plan:

  • Start with the Free plan to explore basic features
  • Upgrade to Standard or Premium when you need more features
  • All plans can be changed or cancelled anytime

Payment Setup (if upgrading):

  • Enter payment information securely
  • Choose payment method (Credit Card, GCash, PayMaya, Bank Transfer)
  • Review billing cycle and pricing

Security Best Practices

  • Use a strong, unique password
  • Enable two-factor authentication if available
  • Keep your email address updated
  • Regularly review your account activity
  • Never share your password with anyone
